Our Values
Forgiveness
We believe that a lack of forgiveness is a direct contradiction to the gospel that we profess. Unforgiveness is not just a bad idea; it is a sin!
Too often we think of forgiveness as some long process we must go through before we can experience peace. Biblically speaking, forgiveness is transactional…it is an intentional choice.
Some Biblical principles that guide our practice of forgiveness are:
Too often we think of forgiveness as some long process we must go through before we can experience peace. Biblically speaking, forgiveness is transactional…it is an intentional choice.
Some Biblical principles that guide our practice of forgiveness are:
- God expects forgiven people to forgive others.
- The blood of Jesus covers all sins, including the ones that wound and hurt us.
- Forgiveness is applying the blood of Jesus as payment in full for every wound we suffer.
- Forgiveness acknowledges the hurt but simply chooses not to hold it against the offender.
- Jesus never let the offense determine whether He would forgive someone.
Spiritual Formation
At LifeSource, the experience of life transformation is wrapped up in the identity of who we are in Christ. We believe spiritual growth and transformation occur by recognizing the power of Christ with us, embracing the power of Christ through us, and surrendering to the influence of God’s Spirit in us. We accept the words of Jesus literally in John 15:5, “Apart from Me, you can do nothing.”
When we examine the spiritual growth of those in the church described in Acts 2, we see a pattern for us to follow in our individual lives.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. 44 Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. 45 They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved." Acts 2:42-47
We see a church where…concern for others out-weighed concern for self.
We see a church where…sacrificial generosity was a normal expression.
We see a church where…community with one another was a priority.
We see a church where…relationships flourished outside the church.
We see a church where…the gospel produced life transformation.
We see a church where…spiritual freedom existed.
We see a church where…Christ-followers were committed to spiritual growth.
We see a church where…supernatural activity was commonplace.
We see a church where…those in the culture were attracted to the gospel.
We see a church where…people were added to the Kingdom daily.

Care & Community
A culture of care is defined as, “practicing a lifestyle of providing care & support to another person going through a time of crisis or difficulty.”
At LifeSource, we believe the church is to be a place of hope, healing, and support in life’s most challenging moments. We believe we have the responsibility to equip people to help give high-quality, one-on-one Christ-centered care to people going through one of life’s difficulties.
We believe that growing in your relationship with Jesus is much easier when you have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal.
We’ve found that lasting life change and intimate community happen best in smaller groups which we call “Life Groups.”

Service
We believe the church is the most effective when people serve in areas of ministry that God has wired them for.
This requires each person to discover their spiritual gifting and be empowered and released to serve the Kingdom of God with purpose and passion.
We believe every person is gifted to serve in ministry, not a select few.
“Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ministries, but the same Lord. And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person.” I Cor. 12:4-6
We believe everyone who serves is a minister, not just a volunteer.
“And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ.” Eph. 4:11-12
We believe serving in ministry is a spiritual responsibility, not an option.

Our Beliefs
Absolute Truth
We believe the Bible, composed of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament, is the inspired word of God and without error in the original writing. The Bible was given by God through human writers as guided by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice; there are no other writings similarly inspired by God.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came to earth fully God and fully man through a miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived a sinless life and voluntarily died on the cross in our place as full payment for the sins of all people. He is the final and complete sacrifice for the sins of all humanity. He arose bodily from the dead on the third day to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into heaven to the right hand of the Father. He will personally return to earth and those who have believed in Him will be united with God eternally in Heaven.
Salvation
We believe that sin was introduced into the world through the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden. The reality of sin separates each person from God which is spiritual death. People can be reconciled to God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and Him alone. Anyone who accepts and believes in Jesus' death for the forgiveness of sin is forgiven. Upon this decision, God establishes a personal relationship with that person and gives them eternal life.
Baptism & Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby all believers, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
God
We believe in a personal God who has revealed Himself as One; God exists in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is distinct—yet all of One essence and deity. We believe that God the Father is the Creator and Ruler of all. He is compassionate, loving, and just toward all people and is faithful to keep His promises. He desires all people to have a relationship with Him by receiving His Son, Jesus.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who reveals God's truth to the world and indwells believers to empower them for Godly life and service. We believe in the diversity of gifts given by the Spirit for the common good of the church and are all operating today.
Marriage & Family
We believe God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church.
Gender
We believe God intentionally created humanity as two distinct genders; male and female, each made in His image and equal in value, yet unique in design and purpose.
Gender is a gift from God, established at creation, and is not determined by personal preference or cultural expression.
Genesis 1:27
Genesis 2:18-24
Matthew 19:4-6

Sanctity of Life
We believe all human life is sacred and created by God in His image, from conception to natural death.
Therefore, every Life has inherent value, dignity, and worth and is to be protected and honored.
Genesis 1:26-27
Psalm 139:13-16
