Finding Your Place

We believe the church is at its best when people serve in the areas that God has gifted them for. Each week LifeSource connects with people of all ages and backgrounds. Our goal is to assist every person in discovering their personality, purpose and passion. In other words, how God has wired you to be a minister.

The Journey

At LifeSource, we believe every person was created to experience an intimate relationship with God.

Our desire is to help you in your journey of becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus. The Journey class is where you explore the ministry of LifeSource and find out how to join our church, discover your personality and gifts to see how your design helps you find your best fit in ministry. This process identifies your God given purpose and where you can serve in your calling to be a minister.

The Journey meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 5 pm. A light meal as well as childcare thru 5th grade is provided. Advance registration is required to attend. You can register in the Lobby, using the link below, or by emailing info@lifesourcelindale.com. (Please include how many children will be attending childcare.)

As you continue the journey of discovering your purpose & passion, there are some areas where you can begin serving immediately…

●    Nursery…The nursery provides care for children from new-born to 24 months.
●    Toddlers…The toddler class is for children 2 years through 3 years old. This class uses videos, activities, and bible stories to help kids learn about Jesus.
●    Preschool…The preschool class is for children, 4 years through kindergarten. This class provides a structured environment for learning using videos, teaching, and crafts.
All serving with Nursery / Toddlers /  Pre-school are required to have a background check.

Children’s Church at LifeSource is a vibrant and fun experience filled with worship, videos, activities, and learning about Jesus. It meets during the worship service and is for grades 1 through 6.

All serving with Children’s Church are required to have a background check.

This team manages the computer check-in procedure while providing assistance for parents of children attending any of the Life Kids' classes.

Overflow Student Ministries exists to make Jesus clear to the next generation (Grades 7-12). We provide an environment where students can be known, learn about Jesus through relevant teaching, and take their next steps of growth by serving in the church and throughout the community.

All those serving with students are required to have a background check.

This ministry helps people develop a lifestyle of worship. It provides an opportunity  to express a love for God through music, drama, art, dance and other creative expressions.

This team serves as technicians for sound, computer, and video during church services and special events. Training will be provided as needed for all volunteers.

This team provides a “party” event each month at Colonial Nursing Home by providing snacks, gifts and interacting with the residents.

This team helps make sure a person’s first impression of LifeSource is positive when they arrive on site.

●    Greeter… A greeter’s responsibilities go beyond a simple hello. They identify first time visitors, assist first time guests in receiving a “gift bag”, assist in filling out a “Connect Card” and provide directions within the facility when needed.

●    Usher… Ushers assist in locating empty seats, providing direction to available seating (especially after service begins) and being aware of situations which require immediate attention or assistance.

●    Parking Lot Attendant…Attendants in the parking lot is the very first representatives of LifeSource that anyone comes in contact with. They greet people as they exit their vehicles (during inclement weather, attendants provide umbrella service to the building).

This ministry is for those who desire to serve behind the scenes in order to create a warm and welcoming environment at LifeSource.

●    Coffee Bar…This team prepares coffee and picks up snacks for Sunday morning and cleans the coffee bar area after the service.

●    Special Events… This team coordinates the set-up, decorations, and food for church dinners, fellowships, and special meetings.

●    Communion…This team obtains the elements (juice & bread), fills communion trays, and prepares the table for the observance of communion. At the conclusion of the service, the team cleans all trays and stores them appropriately.

This team stays “in touch” with the congregation of LifeSource by sending cards, letters, and e-mails. Each week, this team contacts those who visited the church service, those who are sick, or those who simply need a card of encouragement.

The prayer ministry offers a variety of formats for anyone interested in prayer to actively participate in praying for specific requests, the church, or needs of people both locally and globally.

This team helps keep the focus of LifeSource beyond the walls of the building by planning, developing and overseeing outreach events within the community.

This involves touching the lives of people outside of our local community. There are “mission trips” planned throughout the year for all experience levels.

This team is trained to respond to emergency situations due to a medical crisis, weather event or threat of physical harm to the congregation.

This team helps with maintaining the church buildings and property.

This team meets the construction related needs of those in the congregation and community who are not physically or financially able to maintain their residence or adapt their home to accommodate disabilities.
