LifeSource Lindale - Developing Fully Devoted Followers of God

LifeSource Community

The 3 core values of LifeSource that govern the church’s priorities:
Developing Disciples - Building Community - Practicing Mission
"For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,  so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly..." Romans 12:4-6a

LifeSource Ministries

A.C.T.S. stands for, “Acts of Compassion Through Service”.  This ministry exists for the purpose of sharing God’s love by reaching out to others, in times of need, as the Bible commands.
“But if someone who is supposed to be a Christian has money enough to live well, and sees a brother in need, and won’t help him, how can God’s love be within him? Little children, let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions. Then we will know for sure, by our actions, that we are on God’s side, and our consciences will be clear, even when we stand before the Lord.” (1 John 3:17-19)
One of the values and purposes of LifeSource is to…Serve People. We are to take the blessings God has given us and share them with those in need. The A.C.T.S. Ministry seeks to fulfill the Service purpose of our church by providing regular opportunities to meet the practical needs of people in the community.

LifeKids provides age appropriate classes for nursery, preschool and elementary.  On your first visit to LifeSource, bring your child to the Children’s area for check-in. Our trained volunteers will guide you through the check-in process at this point. All volunteers serving with children are required to have a background check due to insurance liability and safety guidelines.

Newborn - Kindergarten

We love children at LifeSource! It is our goal to provide a safe, warm, and welcoming atmosphere for your child. There is check-in procedure for each class for safety. You will check your child in and pick them up from the same room. There are three classes in the Children's Ministry: nursery, toddlers, and preschool.

Nursery: The nursery provides care for children from newborn to 24 months.

Toddlers: The toddler class is for children 2-3 years old. This class uses videos, activities, and bible stories to help kids learn about Jesus.

One of the values of LifeSource is to “develop fully devoted followers of Jesus”. We call this process…discipleship. At Life Source, we come from all walks of life and faith backgrounds, so helping individuals establish clear spiritual direction is crucial. While the details of our journeys may be incredibly varied, we believe God desires growth and transformation for each person. Regardless of where you find yourself on your personal faith journey, we want to help you discover and take your next step in your personal walk with God. Our intentional strategy of developing disciples offers a variety of opportunities, such as; spiritual growth classes, one-on-one mentoring, spiritual coaching using the 360 transformation process, missional application and small group interaction.

Do you ever feel lost in the crowd at church? Have you ever wondered how to get more involved so you don’t feel like an outsider?
At LifeSource, we are wholeheartedly committed to developing authentic relationships with one another.  We’ve found that lasting life change and intimate community happen best in smaller groups. Therefore, we strive to facilitate ways we can build into one another’s lives.
LifeGroups are a place you can be known, loved and accepted while “doing life together”.
Imagine – a place where you can come as you are and explore who you want to become.
Investigate – the Bible for answers to the questions you are struggling with in your spiritual journey.
Explore – who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him.
Discover – friends who will do life with you.

Men's Ministry

men's ministry
LifeSource Men’s ministry is a source of spiritual growth to men of all ages through bible studies, accountability, mentoring and fellowship. The men’s ministry encourages men to be servant leaders…recognizing that, in Christ, all are equal, and all should be loved. The men’s ministry will assist you in building Christ-honoring relationships with your wife, family and those around you.
We have regularly scheduled events that will teach men how to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.

At LifeSource, we work hard to develop and maintain a focus beyond the walls of our building and the scope of our campus. We see our church as a sending agency from which Christ followers go out into their everyday lives as carriers of the good news under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Our priority is to equip and empower each individual to practice a lifestyle that presents a real life picture of what life in the kingdom of God is like. We place a priority on being involved in missional projects in cultures around the world. However, as members of the global church, LifeSource partners with other churches and ministries through prayer, finances and service. There are mission / outreach opportunities presented throughout the year for all experience levels.

Prayer Ministry

prayer ministry
At LifeSource, we recognize that prayer is part of our spiritual exploration and growth. Prayer is the spiritual experience of talking with God — sharing our thoughts and feelings, the longings of our heart. It can be quiet and personal or in a small group setting or part of a large worship experience. Prayer is also listening for God’s response. Jesus’ example of prayer shows us to honor the father, to resist the enemy, to submit to the Father and to ask for what we need. The Prayer Ministry of LifeSource also believes that prayer opens the door to unleash the power of God in our lives and in the church. Through prayer, we can invite God to move in us, in our local church and in the Church throughout the world. The prayer ministry offers a variety of formats for anyone interested in prayer to actively participate in praying for specific requests, the church, or needs of people both locally and globally.

This team stays “in touch” with the congregation of LifeSource by sending cards, letters and e-mails. Each week, this team contacts those who visited the church service, those who are sick, or those who simply need a card of encouragement.
Special Events
This team coordinates logistics for church functions such as, seminars, special services, retreats, fellowships, etc. This team will work closely with the hospitality team on any event requiring food. There will be events that will require organizational and communication ability.
This team obtains the elements (juice & bread), fills communion trays, and prepares the table for the observance of communion. At the conclusion of the service, the team cleans all trays and stores them appropriately.
We believe the church is at its best when people serve in the areas God wired them for.  Each week LifeSource connects with people of all ages and backgrounds. Ensuring an excellent experience for all who attend, requires a lot of work to be done. Some may ask, “What’s the secret”? It’s not really a secret, we have a fantastic team of committed, joy-filled volunteers using their gifts to make ministry happen every week. There is a place for everyone to serve in some capacity at LifeSource.
While areas of service are an ever growing and ever changing process, there are some of the areas to immediately begin to serve.
Office Volunteer
This team provides assistance with church mailings, phone calls, e-mails or other requirements for the function of the church. Since the church does not have a secretary, this team may be called upon frequently.
Sound & Video
This team serves as technicians for sound, computer and video during church services and special events. Training will be provided for Media Shout software as well as sound if needed.
Parking Lot
This team provides assistance to those coming into the building once they have parked their car. During inclement weather, team members escort people from their car with umbrellas and offer whatever services are needed.
This team helps make sure a person’s first impression of LifeSource is positive when they arrive on site. Greeters lead the way in welcoming each person when they enter the building for any service. They also provide direction to anyone needing any kind of assistance.
Social Media
This team keeps the church’s presence on social media outlets current and relevant. This will involve creating and regularly updating pages for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
Graphic Design
This team works closely with the pastor in developing graphics for announcements, sermon series, promotional materials, etc. Computer graphic experience is required to serve on this team.
This team prepares coffee and picks up snacks for Sunday morning fellowship time and cleans the kitchen area after the service. They also coordinate the set-up, decoration and food for church dinners, fellowships and special meetings.
This team helps develop, maintain and update the church web site. Prior web site experience is preferred on this ministry team.
This team provides custodial services for the building and assures the facilities are ready for each service.

Spiritual Mentoring

spiritual mentoring
"Plans fail for lack of counselor," says the write of Proverbs (Proverbs 15:22). At LifeSource, a spiritual mentor is someone usually older and more experiences in the faith, which advises and guides a less experience believer. A mentor provides the accountability, honesty, instruction, and guidance that are necessary to promote spiritual discover and fulfillment. Mentoring goes beyond personal spiritual growth to include guidance in marriage relationships, parenting, finances, forgiveness, reconciliation, etc.

Fully Devoted Women's Ministry

The purpose for Fully Devoted Women’s Ministry of LifeSource is grounded in the scripture found in Ephesians 3:16-19.
I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
We think that women’s ministry should be a balance of fellowship and community, discipleship, service, and teaching. Through that balanced program, fully rooted in the love of the Lord, women can grow in relationship with Christ, and find the freedom to be the women that God has called them to be.
We believe that the life of every woman is like a tree. As that tree is nurtured through cultivation of the soil, pruning of unproductive limbs, and watering by the Word of God, her roots run deep in the love of Christ. As the roots deepen, she begins to produce fruit that glorifies the Lord and blesses those around her.
The mission of Fully Devoted Women’s Ministry is to speak Jesus into women’s hearts to stir up the gifts and calling of God on their lives by leading, equipping, and encouraging them to know Him and become fully devoted followers of Christ.
It is our vision to be an integral part of the Lindale area as a progressive, loving community of women who actively pursue relationship with Jesus and share the love and fullness of Christ with one another.
To fulfil the mission and to reach our vision we plan to:
  • Equip women with tools that help them grow spiritually.
  • Promote the Great Commission, “Go therefore and make disciples of all people. “
  • Create a community support network for women both within the LifeSource church family and East Texas.
  • Be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
  • Become a lighthouse of restoration for the community’s lost, lonely, and broken women.

One of the most important things we do at LifeSource is to come together every week and experience the power of God’s presence. People from different backgrounds and generations join as one to engage in worship as a family. From the place of corporate worship, we go into our homes, schools, and workplaces as carriers of the joy, hope, and life found in an intimate experience with God. One of the simplest yet deepest truths about us is that we have been created to worship. Because of this purpose, we firmly believe that worship is not an event we attend…it is a lifestyle we practice. That’s what worship is all about! LifeSource worship provides opportunities for those who love to sing, play an instrument, perform in dramas or assist in other forms of creative expressions of worship.
